Olga Lomaka’s sculpture Dreaming Miki was chosen to be included in the European Cultural Centre’s exhibition in the context of the 61th International Art Exhibition - La Biennale di Venezia. The ECC’s Art Biennale exhibition, titled Personal Structures – Confluences, is hosted in the iconic venues Palazzo Bembo, Palazzo Mora and Marinaressa Gardens, in the very centre of Venice.

Dreaming Miki
The sculpture is located in Giardini Marinaressa, one of the Biennale’s exhibition spaces. Dreaming Miki, from Olga Lomaka’s Dreamers series, exists at the threshold between reality and reverie. A monumental golden lemon rises from the ground, its luminous surface revealing the face of a sleeping baby suspended in a timeless dream.
The lemon becomes a symbol of memory, potential, and inner light, while the infant represents a pure state of being before identity is shaped. Playful at first, the work suggests that imagination is embedded within reality and connects human consciousness to nature. Through its poetic presence, Dreaming Miki invites reflection on identity, vulnerability, and the unseen inner worlds that shape who we are.
